Family Lawyer in Nuremberg
Separation, divorce, support and children: finding solutions – and representing your interests firmly when necessary. In English and German.
Family lawyer in Nuremberg – solution-oriented and determined
Family law is about people who will often need to get along in the future – especially when children are involved. That is why I first look for workable, amicable solutions. If court proceedings cannot be avoided, I stand fully on your side as a certified specialist in family law (Fachanwalt für Familienrecht).
I represent you in all family law matters
- Separation and divorce – amicable or contested
- Parental responsibility (custody) and contact rights, including relocation with children
- Child support and spousal maintenance
- Division of assets (equalisation of accrued gains – Zugewinnausgleich) and pension equalisation (Versorgungsausgleich)
- Marital home and household items
- Prenuptial and postnuptial agreements
- Protection orders under the Violence Protection Act
International families and binational marriages
When spouses have different nationalities, married abroad or own property in another country, additional questions arise: Which court has jurisdiction? Which country’s law applies to the divorce, to maintenance and to property? Will a German divorce decree be recognised in your home country? I advise you on these issues in English, German, Serbian, Bosnian and Croatian.
Family law and criminal law from a single source
The two fields sometimes overlap – for example in cases of alleged domestic violence, protection orders or disputes about contact. As a certified specialist in both areas, I can coordinate both proceedings.

When should I contact a family lawyer?
Ideally as soon as you separate – before signing any agreement, moving out of the shared home or paying or demanding maintenance. Many important decisions are made early.
Can one lawyer represent both spouses?
No. A lawyer may only ever represent one side. In an amicable divorce, however, it is often sufficient for only one spouse to instruct a lawyer.
Can you help if my spouse lives abroad?
Yes. International family matters are a regular part of my work. Jurisdiction, applicable law and service of documents abroad need to be checked carefully.
